For all bookings we require details of a valid debit/credit card to confirm the booking. If you do not have a debit/credit card or you do not wish to give us the details then a deposit of £50.00 will be required. You can make payment by cheque which you must make sure reaches us within 3 days of making the booking. The balance is due on arrival. We accept all major debit/credit cards. No room can be considered booked until valid card details have been given or a deposit has been received and we are at liberty to relet the room at any time prior to these details or this deposit being received.
The prices include room and breakfast. We accept the following forms of payment: cash, debit cards, credit cards. Cheques can only be used for advance deposits.
Seascape Guest House is completely non smoking.
Pets are not permitted.
Food in Rooms
Guests can feel free to consume their own drinks or cold food in bedrooms. Please note that the taking of hot take away type food to guests rooms is not permitted.
Cancellation and Insurance
Once you have booked your stay, our agreement is a legal contract and any deposit you may have paid is non-refundable. If you need to cancel please contact us immediately. If we are able to re-let your room we will make no further to charge to you. If unable to re-let the room we reserve the right to charge for the balance of your stays cost.
We would only cancel your booking if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would attempt to offer you alternative accommodation,
Your accommodation is available to you from 2.00pm on the day of arrival, unless otherwise arranged. Please let us know if you plan to arrive after 8.00pm.
A charge may be incurred of up to the full value of the booking for unscheduled departure of guests. Any charge incurred will be determined by the remaining length of stay left and whether or not the room can be re-booked in sufficient time.
Please be ready to leave your accommodation by 10.00am on the day of departure, unless otherwise arranged.
Damages and Breakages
Please take care with our accommodation. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages which you cause to the accommodation or its contents. Please report these as soon as they occur. We do not normally charge for minor breakages, but we may send you an invoice for repair or making good if the damage or breakage is significant.
We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.
The Seascape Guest House is a Georgian Town House built around 1812. Due to the historical nature of the building there are stairs to all floors and installation of a lift has not been possible. There are also steps from the road outside into the Guest House. Our lounge and dining area are on the ground floor level however all of our rooms are on floors two, three, or four. Consequently the guest house is not really suitable for those who are need to use wheelchairs or are of limited mobility.
A limited number of car parking permits are available (these are for Zone F street parking in the immediate vicinity of the Guest House. You will need to locate a space yourself. We are unable to guarantee spaces). When you make your booking we will confirm whether we have a permit available and if we do reserve it for you. Your car will be at the most around five minutes walk from the guest house. Take a look at our map page to see exactly where we are.
Any data gathered during the course of your booking may be held on computer.
